THE MAN BEHIND THE BAT
by Selina Kyle

One night on yonder roof I crept, And there this creature stood.
So awesome was the sight of he, I could barely help but look.
He gazed at me so curiously, And then his gaze turned cold.
A voice so deep, commanding me, To leave the jewels I hold.

Just as I am, I would not hear, And scampered from the light.
But he so swiftly followed me, And caught me in my flight.
"Leave the jewels," he said again, And tightly clutched my hand.
But I would not for wild life dear, A cause for which I stand.

I slashed at him and hit him good, But he would not fight back.
It ended when I brought him down, And gave him a farewell peck.
Confused he stared and licked his lips, Not putting up a fight.
I stood to leave but turned to see, Him vanish into the night.

Who is this man, behind the Bat? The man I do not see.
I would give the entire world to know, Who might this stranger be?
He comes not in the light of day, But in the darkened night.
Is he the devil incarnate... Who fears the morning light?

And yet he seeks to fight for good, For bad he seeks a cure.
How ironic can it possibly be, A demon's intentions pure?
Who is this masked avenger? Who borrows moonlit night.
To cloak himself in Gotham's dark, And save us from our plight.

What is this stranger's past? The secret which he hides?
What nightmare does he seek to flee? A memory he doth fight...
Alone at home I ponder hard, With Isis on my lap.
Who might this silent stranger be? The man behind the Bat.

SHADOW OF THE NIGHT
by Bruce Wayne

Cold gray clouds drift across the sky he stood poised waiting on high
A mere step off, he begins to fall freely swinging on his rope through the colossal city
from out of the dark there comes a scream he knows instantly it is not a dream
Into action he does go where does he come from no one will know
A few quick strikes the bad guy is fell everyone knows all is well
Where does he come from this shadow of the night just then a signal came into sight.

THE DARK KNIGHT
By Bruce Wayne

I am the Dark Knight in the night I appear
I am the Dark Knight in the darkest hearts I strike fear
I am the Dark Knight in the night a light cuts through the sky
I am the Dark Knight a dark shadow forms from on high
I am the Dark Knight in this dark city I am a must
I am the Dark Knight in me, innocents place their trust
I am the Dark Knight I am only a myth to a few
I am the Dark Knight the cowardly lot know this to be untrue
I am the Dark Knight I work without prejudice
I am the Dark Knight my purpose is to serve justice
I am the Dark Knight a vow I made on a grave
I am the Dark Knight it is lives I vow to save
I am the Dark Knight in dispensing justice I have no care
I am the Dark Knight all evil-doers beware.
